Home parenteral nutrition (HPN) provision aims to provide nutritional support for children with intestinal failure outside of hospital.

Indications

Permanent or long-term intestinal failure where the gut is insufficient to meet nutritional requirements and where acute medical care is no longer required and a stable PN prescription can be achieved.
