Always confirm the diagnosis: how was IBD diagnosed, particular bowel location involved (colon vs. small bowel), response to any prior therapy, medication use (NSAIDs), tobacco use, etc

Preventive therapy: dysplasia screening performed, DEXA bone scan (Treatments: Ca/VitD and/or Bisphosphonates), labs: CBC/LFTs, B12/Folate, trace elements, etc

Don’t forget to check stool for C. difficile and O&P; Serology and biopsy for CMV (especially if on immunomodulators or immunosuppressed)
