Epidemiology:
Occurs in 10-30% of inpatient cirrhotics and <4% of outpatient cirrhotics
Etiologies:
Risk factors:
Cirrhotic patients with GI bleed
Serum bilirubin >2.5 mg/dl or Platelets <98 K
Prior SBP
Fulminant hepatic failure
