Conditions that commonly present in this way include:



  • Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
  • Non-alcoholic steatoheaptitis (NASH) (see Nutrition section):
  • Sclerosing cholangitis
  • Alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency
  • Wilson’s disease
